MK Erel Margalit (Zionist Union) addressed the new investigation against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an a cultural event in Rishon Lezion Saturday afternoon.Margalit said that "the political system must prepare to hold elections soon because, as it appears, Netanyahu will not finish his term in a clean way."He added that "Netanyahu spends 80 percent of his time silencing suspicions and investigations and connected to some of the largest swindlers in Europe -the current concerns about receiving funds not related to elections is much more than suspicion."
Just last week, reports emerged that Israel authorities are investigating the premier on suspected money laundering allegations stemming from 2009.  The report posited that Netanyahu or one of his family members were the recipients of an alleged transfer of "large sums" of money that is not linked to any political or campaign funding, according to Channel 2.Netanyahu denied the allegations, saying "there is no basis to the claims."

Margalit stated that Netanyahu receives funds via "corrupt methods."
