Over the course of the past day, it's been tough to miss the nearly endless array of perfect scores rolling in for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It's hard to imagine a better boost the Nintendo Switch could have at launch, but many may not ...
Wow, your review of Zelda was superb. In all my 30 years of gaming, there have been some milestones, some personal to me and some obviously everyone agreed on. Stand out moments include when I first unboxed my Amiga 500 (Shadow Of The Beast II pack), after playing it at a mate’s house and begging my parents for it at Christmas.
Then it was my N64, with gems like Mario Kart 64, GoldenEye 007, and of course Zelda: Ocarina Of Time. Since then, I haven’t been quite as excited about gaming, even though I have loved my Xbox, Xbox 360, and now my Xbox One. And all the great games I have played on them.
I have been playing away from Nintendo for quite a few years now and I think it was mainly due to the advent of online multiplayer. After university, split screen multiplayer died and online took over. However now, I am going to buy a Switch, not only because I think it’s a great machine that will help me introduce my young daughter to video games, but also because I can play it while she watches TV and while we are on holiday.
Your review of Zelda shows what a great company Nintendo are, and I have missed them. I have rarely had two consoles concurrently, but now that will change. I think there’s room in the household for a dedicated shooter console like Xbox One (and/or Scorpio) and a family console too. I wonder how many people out there are like me?
Anyway, for those interested, Amazon’s website says the grey Switch will be back in stock on 6th March and the neon red/neon nlue on 5th March.Dj Kj
