If it's the hope of the British royal family that Duchess Meghan's family will shy away from the limelight, might we suggest they avoid tuning in for "The Royal World."
Meghan's nephew, Tyler Dooley, is part of the cast of a new reality show coming to MTV on Nov. 7. The show focuses on royalty and aristocrats, who room together in the English countryside. The cast includes a triple baroness and the son of a Nigerian chief.
While Dooley does not have a title, he is the son of Meghan's half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr.
"I think I represent more of the average person that could be watching this show," Dooley said in a promotional video for the new program.
"I would say we had kind of humble beginnings," he said describing his childhood in L.A., "more of a trial and error, that includes Meghan."
Aside from his foray into reality television, Dooley is also the founder of Royally Grown, which sells weed and "lifestyle products," according to its site that is under construction. Clearly piggybacking off of his aunt's new royal status, Dooley also sells a strain of marijuana named "Markle Sparkle," a nod to Meghan's maiden name.
Dooley says in the video he didn't watch the royal wedding but was in London "to support my Aunt Meghan. Honestly with the controversy that's happened with my family, all I wanted to do was just show my support."
Let's raise a glass joint to that sentiment?
USA TODAY reached out to Kensington Palace, which declined to comment.
