Things to watch:

>> Will Stephen Curry play? It came as a bit of a surprise Friday when the Warriors announced that Curry was listed as questionable against the Clippers with left lateral quad soreness. There were no signs that Curry was injured in Wednesday’s win in Charlotte, when he recorded 28 points and six assists in front of his hometown crowd. If Curry is unavailable Saturday, Shaun Livingston will likely get his first start of the season. Livingston, one of the league’s best backup point guards, averaged 13.2 points and 5.3 assists in six playoff games last season as the fill-in starter. Odds are that, if Curry sits against LA, it’ll be more precautionary than anything.
>> Can the Clippers slow down Golden State? The Warriors lead the NBA in scoring, assists, field-goal percentage and offensive rating. In fact, their 117.5 points per game are three more than any other team. That doesn’t bode well for an LA club that has posted the worst defensive rating in the league without Chris Paul (thumb injury) the past four games. To have a shot at snapping their seven-game losing streak against the Warriors, the Clippers will need Austin Rivers, Paul’s fill-in, to play better defensively. Golden State has scored at least 113 points in six of its past seven games.

>> Will the Clippers start making this a real rivalry? Because LA and Golden State rose to national prominence around the same time, pundits seized on the chance to label this matchup a rivalry. Fulfilling that billing, of course, requires a measure of competitiveness. The Clippers haven’t beaten the Warriors since Christmas 2014. Including a blowout loss to Golden State in the preseason, LA has lost to Golden State by a combined 62 points in two games this season.

Quotable: “The only thing that surprised me about (the All-Star reserves) was that (Chris Paul) didn’t make it. I thought CP would make it, and there would be a sub somewhere. When I saw he didn’t make it, it really shocked me.” - Draymond Green
