Purdue and Notre Dame have moved from a four-game series to a six-game series.
Starting in 2021, the Boilermakers and Irish will play six times in eight years. The two team will alternate home games.
Purdue has also added two more nonconference games to future schedules: vs. Memphis (Sept. 12, 2020) and vs. Indiana State (Sept. 10, 2022).
“I have a tremendous amount of respect for the Fighting Irish football program,” Boilermakers coach Jeff Brohm said in an official release. “We strive to take on the best programs in the country on a regular basis, and when you have a first-class, high-caliber program nearby, it’s a no-brainer to add more games against them. We look forward to the challenge.”
