New Nintendo Switch sales stats have shown that indie games are hugely popular on the console.
This includes Super Meat Boy, which is almost as popular now as it was back in 2010.
"Super Meat Boy on Switch first day sales came shockingly close to it's debut on Xbox 360 back in 2010," reads a Team Meat tweet. "That's. nuts."
The studio would then joke: "Now I'm pretty excited about Super Meat Boy Forever for the Switch...Imma buy Notch's [Minecraft creator] house."
Super Meat Boy sold 140,000 units on Xbox 360 by the end of 2010, and would go on to rack up more than a million downloads by 2012.
With its new found success on Switch, perhaps more indie classics will be released on the console.
Nintendo recently revealed another surprising new Switch sales stat.
After revealing the most played games and biggest sellers, Nintendo has now announced the most downloaded Nintendo Switch releases.
And it's good news for indie sensation Stardew Valley, which tops the list over heavyweights such as Minecraft, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey.
The new report from Nintendo Japan (via GamesIndustry.biz) shows that Stardew Valley was the most downloaded game across the world.
It was followed by Minecraft in second, Sonic Mania in third, Rocket League at four and Snipperclips at five.
And speaking of the Switch, the company recently announced a new range of Nintendo Labo Toys, which are cardboard creations aimed at kids.
Launching in April, the cardboard kits will let users build motorbikes, robots and fishing lines.
Working alongside Joy-Cons, Switch consoles and software, players can even make a functioning piano.
As you play, the IR Motion Camera in the Right Joy-Con detects which keys are being pressed and plays each note through the console’s built-in speakers.
