NINTENDOA shock Nintendo Switch games announcement could be coming soonThe Nintendo Switch games list is riding high right now but more variety could also help it out too.
With some of the console’s top titles selling well, it would be easy for Nintendo to relax a little bit.
But it appears that won’t be the case moving forward, with some big potential projects apparently underway.
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild has proven a big hit on the Nintendo Switch, having also joined some of the best reviewed games ever on Metacritic.
And it appears that some of those titles could be heading the other way.
A new job listing with an interesting developer could mean something big is in the work for the Nintendo Switch games list.
Grezzo, the studio that brought Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask to the Nintendo 3DS are looking for new recruits.
This new opening would see candidates working with Unreal Engine 4, something that points to the Nintendo Switch.
The job listing also seems to hint at what could be coming, teasing the line: “Would you like to make a legend together 2.”
This was reportedly a line also used for when Grezzo were putting together the team for Majora’s Mask 3DS remake.
Put that with the fact that the developer has only ever worked on Nintendo games and it would appear that a new Legend of Zelda remake project could be announced.
It would certainly make for a very popular reveal during E3 2018, although nothing from Nintendo themselves suggests a project like this is in the works.
However, Nintendo is one of a number of companies who have been utilising their old back catalogue of games and hardware to make big profits.
The NES and SNES Classics have proven big hits and it seems only fair that some of Nintendo’s best games should get the 21st Century treatment too.
It follows news that Zelda Breath of the Wild update 1.3.3 is live on Nintendo Switch, complete with free DLC.
The latest Breath of the Wild update adds a brand new side quest and costume to the game.
Players can unlock Xenoblade Chronicles 2 armour by visiting three locations at night and looking for a red shooting star.
Completing the mission unlocks a brand new Xenoblade Chronicles 2 armour set for Link.
Update 1.3.3 also adds support for Zelda Breath of the Wild Champions amiibo.
Available this week, the four Champions provide players with different boosts, from electricity and cold resistance to flame guard and increased swim speed.
The free Xenoblade Chronicles DLC was announced during the latest Direct conference.
Nintendo explains: "To help familiarise fans with main character Rex before the game launches, a new Side Quest will be available via a free update in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, in which players will be able to obtain a Rex costume for Link."
