Bollinger announces executive appointments
Lockport-based Bollinger Shipyards has announced two executive appointments.
Jerome Eymard has been named director of human resources and Rachael Battaglia has been named general counsel, the company said in a news release.
Eymard, who joined Bollinger in 1999, has a bachelor's degree in human resources and a master's of business administration from Nicholls State University. He received his senior professional certification in human resources in 2012.
Battaglia has a bachelor of arts degree from Nicholls State University and a juris doctorate degree from Loyola University. She has over 13 years experience in the legal field within the public and private sectors.
She joined Bollinger in 2011 as a staff attorney and was promoted to senior counsel in 2016.
Nicholls instructor wins Outstanding Educator Award
Nicholls Computer Information Systems Instructor Sherry Rodrigue is the 2018 recipient of the Outstanding Educator Award by the Association of Business Information Systems.
Rodrigue was honored at the Federation of Business Disciplines Annual Awards Banquet on March 7 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A member of the Association of Business Information systems since 2011, Rodrigue has served as secretary, program chair/vice president and is currently the president of the association.
Rodrigue began working at Nicholls in 2000, providing computer support, and earned her master's of business administration degree before becoming a full-time instructor in 2010.
TGMC names March Employee of the Month
Terrebonne General Medical Center has named Aaren Clay as its March Employee of the Month.
Clay, a TGMC employee for over three years, works in the Information Technology Department as a clinical project coordinator.
She "immediately jumped into her new role with an enthusiastic and proactive attitude. In the midst of the transition, TGMC switched to EPIC, the electronic medical record system, and Clay was tasked with several major assignments to ensure a smooth transition. Clay accepted the challenge with grace, earning admiration from her colleagues," TGMC said in a news release.
LMOGA elects chairman, board members
The Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association Board elected Frederick Palmer as chairman and Gloria M. Moncada as vice-chair on Feb. 28.
Palmer is Shell Oil Co. state government relations manager, Southeast U.S.
Moncada is manager of the ExxonMobil Baton Rouge Refinery, the fourth largest in the nation with more than 3,700 employees and contractors.
New association board members appointed are Rick Tallant, Shell Oil Co.; Michele Budd, BP Lubricants; Wynn Radford and Larry Thomas, BP America; Jerry Dunn, CITGO Petroleum; and Laura Ferrell, Cheniere Energy.
Inter-Tribal Council to hold Career Day
The Inter-Tribal Council of Louisiana will hold a Career Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 4 at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library, 151 Library Drive, Houma.
Various companies and schools will be on hand to help with career decisions, the council said in a news release.
SCIA scholarship applications available
The South Central Industrial Association is offering two $1,000 scholarships to children of its members or member firms.
Candidates must attend an accredited Louisiana two- or four-year college program. One scholarship is designated for Fletcher Technical Community College.
The deadline to apply is April 28.

Congressman to address chambers of commerce
U.S. Rep. Garret Graves, R, Baton Rouge, will be the featured speaker at a March 27 luncheon presented by the Houma-Terrebonne, Thibodaux and Lafourche chambers of commerce.
Graves represents the northern portions of Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes. He will speak at Cypress Columns, 157 Tourist Drive, Gray.
The cost is $30 for the 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. luncheon for chamber members and $40 for non-members.

LSU seeking business award nominees
Applications for the eighth annual LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses, hosted by LSU Executive Education, are being accepted.
The LSU 100 honors the 100 fastest-growing companies led or owned by an LSU graduate with annual revenues of $100,000 or more. The deadline to apply is May 31.
