DELAWARE, OH (WCMH) -- A huge, multi-use, multi-billion dollar entertainment complex planned in Delaware county promises to bring thousands of jobs to Central Ohio over the next couple of years.
Under the developer's vision of Planet Oasis, phase 1 will house restaurants, a bowling alley, laser tag, a movie theater, a virtual golf concept and more including a health and wellness center offering alternatives to traditional western medicine.

Developers of Planet Oasis say the 350-acre plot is fertile ground for thousands of new jobs.
"We're talking about 15,000 jobs with a spillover to probably 25,000 jobs," said Blue Horseshoe Ventures Limited CEO David Glimcher.
According to Glimcher, locating Planet Oasis next to the Tanger Outlet Mall off I-71 is convenient and within 5-6 hours of 105 million people.
"To compare that to Orlando they have 35 million, LA has 47 million," he said.
And he expects nearly 2 dozen attractions when all's said and done.
"It will be the largest attractions, entertainment, action, sports, food and beverage, health, and wellness venue in the entire country," said Glimcher.

People we spoke with say conceptually, Planet Oasis sounds like a destination they'd be willing to check out.
"Well, Columbus needs more of that. I think the Top Golf, you know, that was a great addition. We just, we could use more of that," said Eric Rentschler.
"You know, I think Ohio needs entertainment. You know it's gonna be a good thing," said James Jones.
Glimcher says Planet Oasis is an example of where successful retail development is headed.
"What people are looking for is experiential, retail experimental restaurants and active type of sports whether they're on the active sports side or the extreme sports side," he said.
Construction is planned to begin in December 2018.
Developers hope to have 40-45% complete and phase 1 open in December 2019 with 75% complete by December 2020.
