Hastings Entertainment, which has locations in Grand Island and Kearney, announced Thursday that they plan to close their stores. In June, Hastings Entertainment filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Hastings Entertainment will close the doors on all 126 of its locations, according to court documents filed Wednesday.The company, which filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy on July 14, will soon begin a liquidation process that includes an â€œeverything must goâ€ sale through October 31.According to Amarillbo Globe-News, the Texas based company will close on a store-by-store basis. Any Hasting store can close at any time, but only after giving employees a seven-day notice, and the sale of all merchandise must be complete by October 31.Spokane is home to three locations, while Coeur d'Alene has one. Other area stores include ones in Moscow, Lewiston, and Moses Lake.
