Come out to a panel focused on how to launch a business. Attendees will have the chance to learn about business strategy, financing, marketing, legal issues, and management challenges. Saturday, 9 a.m to 4 p.m., Questrom School of Business, 595 Commonwealth Ave., Boston. $30.

CLASS
Attend a class on the basics of data science. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to phrase problems in data science terms, approach solutions in a rigorous manner, and understand how data visualization can help convey information. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., General Assembly, 125 Summer St., Boston. $180.
