It's been a minute since the 2016 elections and here we go again. On Nov. 7 five Brevard County municipalities and the Barefoot Bay Recreational District will elect new officials.
Cape Canaveral, Indialantic, Malabar, Melbourne Beach and Rockledge have contested races. There are 14 other seats in Palm Shores, Melbourne and other jurisdictions where candidates will be elected automatically for lack of a challenger.
Melbourne Beach and Barefoot Bay also have referendums on the ballot.
Polls will open from from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and there's no early voting period. Voters have until Nov. 1 to request a vote-by-mail ballot. The last day to register to vote was Oct. 10.
You can find sample ballots and your voting precinct on the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections website.
