Miamisburg has a variety of restaurants and entertainment options in the downtown area.
The city’s bicentennial celebration this week is expected to attract thousands of visitors. If you’re among those in town for Miamisburg’s 200th birthday celebration, here’s a sampling of a dozen places you may want to check out:
•The Plaza Theatre, 33 S. Main St. Initially opened in 1919, the theater closed in 1968 but reopened in late 2015, showing classic films with a digital projector.

•Watermark, 20 S. First St. Maria and Eric Walusis opened the restaurant last year. It offers new American and global cuisine, local ingredients and a rotating menu with seating for up to about 75 diners.
•Lucky Star Brewery, 219 S. Second St. One of two breweries downtown, it is housed in an historic warehouse and specializes in brewing their own craft beers. Features a small menu of Mexican cuisine.

•Bennett’s Publical Family Sports Bar, 67 S. Main St. A family sports grill with a large menu and plenty of TVs. Features home cooking from bean soup and cornbread to the “Miamisburger.”
•Good Time Charlie’s, 61 S. Main St. Features libations, live music in a unique environment. A place to check out for karaoke or a game of pool.
•Bullwinkles Top Hat Bistro, 19 N. Main St. A mainstay in Miamisburg for years, it features baby-back ribs cooked in a special barbecue sauce, the Q-Sauce™. Also serve steaks, chicken and seafood.

•Hamburger Wagon, 10 E. Central Ave. Another Miamisburg tradition, it serves hamburgers from a mobile cart. Serving simple burgers, it has been a popular choice for decades.

•Mz Pickles Sandwich Shop, 17 S. Main St. Soups, salads, subs and drinks are available for lunch and dinner. Has been lauded for its quaint atmosphere.
•TJ Chumps, 12 E. Linden Ave. A family sports restaurant that has expanded with other locations in the Dayton area. Features a covered patio and a broad menu.

•Star City Brewing, 319 S. Second St. A craft micro-brewery located at the historic Peerless Mill Inn. If you’re a craft beer enthusiasts, this may be your choice.
The Blue Note Bistro and Lounge is reminiscent of decades past.
•Ron’s Pizza House, 1 S. Main St. Another Miamisburg favorite, Ron’s has been a part of the downtown environment for more than 50 years. Menu includes pizza, sandwiches, salads and ribs.
•The Blue Note Bistro & Lounge, 23 E. Central Ave. Offers cuisine, handcrafted cocktails and live music in an atmosphere reminiscent of decades past. Decor is set in the 1920s.
