AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Augusta Technical College has announced they will receive a financial boost in its Advanced Technology Education program.
The school will receive a grant for nearly $200,000 from the National Science Foundation, the money will go toward a virtual simulator lab for Engineering Technology programs.
A spokesperson with Augusta Technical College says the lab “will enhance the education and instruction of Engineering Technology students utilizing 3D Virtual Simulation to obtain the technical knowledge and skills to be highly qualified and better prepared engineering technicians in industry and manufacturing.”
The school is expected to receive the grant money on Friday, July 15, 2016.
