SPRINGFIELD

A Springfield auto repair business will begin construction on a $200,000 expansion at its St. Paris Pike location next month.Rogers Garage, which has two locations in Clark County, plans to add about 1,200-square-feet at its 4040 St. Paris Pike location in order to offer alignment services to its customers according to Todd Rogers, whose family has owned the business since 1972.

The new development is one of a series of changes that have been implemented to the garage since Todd Rogers purchased the business from his father six years ago, including the opening of a new location in Enon in 2015.The expansion will allow employees to work on commercial vehicles, including 23-seat passenger buses.More changes to the business could be coming in the future, including more services and locations, Rogers said.“Before I bought the business it became pretty evident that the role of running a small business the way that my father had done it was going to drastically change,” he said.
Construction is expected to start in April. Rogers hopes to have it completed before summer begins, just in time for the garage’s 45th anniversary in July. During the anniversary celebration, the business will be donating $4,500 to a charity voted on by customers.Rogers is feeling optimistic about expanding his business even further and plans to open another location in Clark County in the next few years.“This is the time to do it,” he said. “The market is going to get better.”
